If you come across those in Chicagoland who aren't on the Sky board, tell 'em about the tailgating! Wink

2012 is going to be the Sky's best season yet! Very Happy

Sister and I are traveling to Chicago this summer for a little sightseeing. Going to go to a Sky game and wanted to get some advise from Sky fans. What sections at AllState are the best to sit in? Where does each team sit? Stuff like that? Thanks in advance.

Nope, no "Cinderella" crap. A few loose cannons, but that's to be expected. Rolling Eyes We're still having fun though! Cool

So, with all the changes, is there still going to be a spot for Carolyn Swords with the Sky?

I'm assuming she will make the roster. She is a big, 6'6" body who will be good for Syl to go up against in practice. Can throw her on the floor when needed without needing to score but rather "maintain" play while Syl is resting. She has a small role on this team but teams need those kind of players.

The Sky may primarily use a 3-post rotation of Syl, Ruth and Le'Coe because Ruth can play the 5. But in my opinion, Carolyn is good insurance at the 5 and hopefully has improved from last season.

If Chester has improved since last year, she's the only competition I see for Swords out of all the training camp invitees.

I'm a paranoid individual by nature, but it's great to see Petrovic actually in uniform for the Sky.

I find it odd that Chester is the only one with the road blue on. Confused

So was Ruth Riley. Maybe they're sorted by height.

it looks like Wisdom-Hylton has packed on some weight in the offseason. her chances of making the final roster just got slimmer.

Did you ever show up for a game with the wrong uniform? I never did, but my brother did once in high school. I remember a great amount of flurry around it - like one of the biggest kids on the jv team had to give up his uniform which made my bro pretty unpopular in certain circles, and he had to play in a uni that didn't fit and didn't match his teammates, but was the right color. Don't think he did that again, and it inspired me to always double check.

That's the only time you'll see her in uniform until some time in June.

Is that a Media Day pic? And if so, where can I see a link to the photo gallery?

I don't know of any links, but Ticha Penicheiro and some other Sky players have been posting some media day pics on there twitter.

The finally posted the media day pictures on the Chicago Sky site, my favorite:

I read the WNBA.com season preview on the team and it didn't even mention Carolyn Swords. Is there really so little expected of a 6'6 player that she doesn't even rate so much as a cursory mention?

Pokey has made her decision to cut Chester as the final cut for the team. I have no problem with that decision. I just hope that the european girl Petrovic becomes a productive addition to the Sky. BUT, if she does NOT produce? Hmmn... I hope the Sky do not hesitate to pick up Julie Wojta to take her place on the roster.

I heard some news that Shay Murphy will play for some Euro team in early June for a few games. Can the Sky suspend her and sign a player until she comes back to the States?

If they have the cap space they can. Atlanta did that last year with Sancho Lyttle.
