Nice looking leader board right now, Lincicome, Lewis, Thompson, Gulbis, all up at or near the top. Sat. coverage starts at 3:00pm eastern. 3 hours, should be interesting. Rookie Sydnee Michaels is up there as well. Was part of the recent USC championship team, and got to the tour via the futures tour. rookie, Ryu So Yeon is also up there. Ryu is the current US Open champion and and current ROY leader.

ETA: Good grief! Bam Bam is leading by 1 after 6 at -10. She had a double bogey yesterday, and a triple bogey Thursday. That's just rust, it's not her m.o. |

Holy crap.
lewis has lead today by at least four shots.
It's a 3 horse race now, Lewis, Icher, and Thompson. last year, same golf course Thompson, not a member of the LPGA, went into the final round [with the lead] and shot 78. She's now the youngest pro to win on the Lpga and the Ladies Euro Tour.
Thompson started the day 5 shots back of Lewis, she now has a putt at 16 inside 10 feet for eagle on 16 to take a one shot lead.
Lewis at 15 was looking too aggressive and her nemesis self criticism, was looking a short left pin with water on the left, 2 shot lead, I thought Stacy, you don't want any part of that pin. You can lose this thing with one shot if you aim at that pin, she made that bad swing.
Now we have a golf tournament. Lexi with a putt for eagle to go 8 under on the day, eagle for the lead, birdie to tie, tie. |

ETA1: Thompson finished with 65, Lewis with go to 18 with a one shot lead. I've been to this event before, but they enlarged the greens. On the old course, the pin is back to a tough pin on a little neck, one shot lead you risk making bogey, but leave it short you have a difficult 2 putt. Should be interesting.
ETA2: Lewis wins it by one. On the old green, I think we were talking playoff. Well done Stacy Lewis and Lexi. |
