I think SDS "tries too hard". Overly animated? I think she'll turn out to be ok in the long run but mainly as a fluff kind of commentator.

On the contrary, her tones are perfectly modulated. Laughing

Her tones are perfectly modulated if she is doing her Madeline Kahn impersonation from History of the World - Part I.

I was unaware that SDS's impersonations of the wonderful Ms Kahn had evolved from those early Blazing Saddles efforts. However, most would agree that it is a rare ability that she combines with her innate pulchritude and growing stature as a commentator. You must remember that sounds carry more loudly in the desert. I liked her pretty well as a player. As a commentator, she annoys me in some vague, inchoate way that I can't quite put my finger on.

Also, we've been debating lately whether she had a nose job. Any votes?

I don't think she's had a nose job.

She annoys people because she's trying too hard to be the Dick Vitale of WCBB.

I'm glad Purdue took to my challenge. Leslie is also starting to find her stride.
