Hampton, a 1980 graduate of Iroquois, is taking time out of her busy life to relive some of the past. She was in Lexington last night and was among 16 people inducted into the Dawahares'/Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame.

"I like the diversity," Hampton said by phone from her home in New York last week. "I want to do a lot of different things. I can reach a lot of people that way."

"I was going to play the 2000 season, but that's when I messed my knee up," Hampton said. "I really enjoyed my career."

And she's spending a lot of time with her 8-month-old daughter, A'riel.
